She Burns – A Group Exhibition of Chinese and International Female Artists
As March winds once again stir the clay of Jingdezhen, Sanbaopeng Art Museum’s annual female artists’ exhibition returns. This year, under the title She Burns, we invite eight female artists from diverse cultural contexts to speak the language of clay, offering alternative answers to the question of strength.
Clay is among the softest of earthly materials, yet it can be forged into eternity through fire—much like a woman’s life. Pressed and shaped repeatedly in the palm of time, it slowly takes form through daily patience and persistence. This process is a mirror of life itself, an echo of women’s lived experiences.
The works in the exhibition hall have no stentatious posture and no dazzling techniques. They replace "display" with "existence" and surpass "specle" with "tenacity". The power they carry never seeks to conquer, but only wants to be quietly "present" - just like clay being burned in fire, but always maintaining its inner temperature and toughness. Each work seems fragile, but it hides unfolding muscles and bones in the texture. They are the solidification of the life experience of eight female artists. Each form is a different footnote of power - shaped by time, burned by flames, and supported by hands.
When you stand before these works, you will encounter eight silent forces. Each carries the weight of life, stories that cross mountains and seas, and an unhurried confidence. This is women’s strength: unassuming, unsharp, yet in its quiet persistence, it accumulates the most moving thickness of life.

三月的风再次拂过景德镇的陶土，三宝蓬美术馆的女性艺术家联展如期而至。这一次，我们以「She Burns」为题，邀请八位来自不同文化语境的女性艺术家，以陶土为语，诉说关于力量的另一种答案。
泥土是世间柔软的造物之一，却能在火的淬炼中成为跨越千年的永恒。就像女性的生命：在时光的掌心被反复按压、塑形，于日复一日的耐心与坚持中，慢慢沉淀出独有的形态。这个过程，是生命的镜像，是女性经验的共鸣。
展厅中的作品，没有张扬的姿态，没有炫目的技法。它们以「存在」替代「展示」，以「坚韧」超越「奇观」。它们所承载的力量，从不寻求征服，只愿安静地「在场」——像陶土在火中经历灼烧，却始终保持着内在的温度与韧性。每一件作品都看似脆弱，却在肌理中藏着不折的筋骨。它们是八位女性艺术家生命经验的凝固，每一种形态，都是力量的不同注脚——被时光塑造，被火焰烧制，被双手托举。
