(Finalist) North Queensland Ceramic Awards

The biennial North Queensland Ceramic Awards has long aimed to increase public exposure to a high standard of pottery from around the nation. A showcase for both well-known and emerging artists, this competition displays the diversity of ceramic art currently being produced in Australia.

The City of Townsville Art Collection Award of $10,000 continues to provide both opportunities for artists to become a part of one of the nation's most significant ceramic collections, as well as ensuring the continued growth of this important subsection of the City of Townsville Art Collection.

I'm thrilled to share another exciting milestone in my art career! My ceramic sculpture *She Lifts, She Smirks* has been selected as a finalist for the 2024 Biennial North Queensland Ceramic Awards. This year has been incredibly rewarding, and I'm grateful for the progress I've made in my artistic journey. Being selected for a couple of ceramic awards reinforces my commitment to exploring new creative avenues and pushing the boundaries of ceramic art.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way. This acknowledgment fuels my enthusiasm to keep evolving as an artist, and I look forward to what the rest of the year has in store.
