Rara Ramen
RaRa is a Ramen bar located in busy street Redfern, Sydney. Owners Katie Shortland and Scott Gault are the guardians of a ramen recipe passed down from Go-san and Hyodo-san, ramen masters and consultants. They make their own handmade Hakata style noodles in store. Served in beautiful handmade ceramic bowls by Ion Fukazawa. The space is thoughtful in its design, understated, not overt with interesting textures and layers of light. RaRa also wants to introduce a little irreverence, some fun, lightness and that’s where illustration comes into the frame. It helps with the social message, connects the space to the digital world and enables some fun.

Lonely Mouth
Lonely Mouth by Rara, a new venture by Rara Ramen owners (Scott Gault and Katie Shortland) plant-based ramen bar now opened in Newtown, Sydney – which takes its name from the Japanese word kuchisabishii, which roughly means the longing to put something in your mouth, even if you’re not hungry – will be a little different from its older siblings: it’ll be completely vegan.
